The man moves behind the lady to be in the Indian position,
while extending the arms out to the sides.
1-4 Walk forward on the right-left-right and touch the left foot out to the left side
Release left hands for the turn – the lady passes under the right arms.
5&6 Shuffle left-right-left while turning 1/2 turn to the left (CCW) to face RLOD
Rejoin the left hands, moving both hands to be at waist level behind the man.
Partners are now in the Reverse Indian position (lady behind the man).
7&8 Shuffle right-left-right backwards along LOD
Do not release hands for steps 9-16.
9-12 Walk backwards left-right, turn 1/4 (CCW) left on the left foot to face OLOD,
and touch the right heel forward
The lady is now to the left of the man, right hands joined behind the man’s back at waist level,
and the left Hands joined in front of the lady at waist level.
13&14 Shuffling right-left-right, turn 1/4 right (CW) to face OLOD
15&16 Shuffling left-right-left, turn 1/4 right to (CW) face ILOD
The lady is now to the right of the man, left hands joined behind the man’s back at waist level,
and the right hands joined at the lady’s right shoulder.
Release the left hands for the turn; the lady passes under the right arms.
17-20 Man: Stepping right-left-right, turn1/4 turn right (CW) while moving to the outside of the circle to face LOD
and touch the left next to the right
Lady: Stepping right-left-right, turn 3/4 turn right (CW) while moving to the inside of the circle to face OLOD
and touch the left next to the right
Keep the right hand joined above the heads to form an arch.
Both place their left hands on their partner’s right hip at waist level, arms in front.
The lady is to the left of and slightly in front of the man.
21&22 Man: Shuffle forward left-right-left along LOD
Lady: Shuffle forward left-right-left along OLOD
23&24 Man: Shuffle forward right-left-right along LOD
Lady: Shuffle right-left-right, turning 1/2 turn left (CCW) to be behind the man
Move the hands to shoulder height of the man – partners are now in the Reverse Indian position.
Do not release hands for steps 25-32.
The lady passes under the left arms during her turn.
25-28 Man: Stepping left-right-left, turn1/4 turn right (CW) to face OLOD and touch the right out to the right side
Lady: Stepping left-right-left, turn 1/4 turn left (CCW) to face ILOD and touch the right foot out to the right side
Partners are now facing each other, left hands joined over right.
29&30 Man: Shuffle right-left-right, turning 1/4 turn left (CCW) to shuffle along LOD
Lady: Shuffle right-left-right, turning 1/4 turn left (CCW) to face RLOD
31&32 Man: Shuffle left-right-left along LOD
Lady: Shuffle left-right-left, turning 1/2 turn left (CCW) to face LOD
Move the hands to the Open Sweetheart position.
